Exceptional - Torre Fiore is an absolute gem! Exceptional in every way. The staff were incredible. Always available to lend a hand or provide suggestions. They worked with us in advance of our trip to line up two of our favorite experiences out of a jam packed 10 day trip. The winery they suggested - Battifarano - was both intimate and delicious. A day trip in Matera would not be the same without the incredible guide Renato. Thank you for recommending both of these amazing experiences.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. The grounds are inviting and scenic with stunning architecture and design. It is impossible to not enjoy yourself day or night here whether you soak up the sun by the pool or marvel at the moon in the familiar feels of a Muskoka chair.

It is a very quiet resort. Which was primarily positive however it would have been nice to have had somewhere to go that encouraged evening socialization & entertainment.

We would be delighted to come back and spend more time here. The staff make you feel like family - big time thank you to Jessica, Stephania, Giovanna, and the rest of the professional super friendly staff for making our stay the best it could possibly be.

Fantastic Getaway Experience, Luxurious Amenities My family stayed here in August for several nights and had an absolutely wonderful time. All staff members we encountered were incredibly hospitable, kind, and genuinely wanted to help. The location is a bit remote, but that's part of the charm - feeling secluded and enjoying a true getaway.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant for several nights, and each meal was amazing. We also arranged a pasta cooking class which was great fun, learning to make 3 different types of pastas and ultimately having them cooked and served to us afterwards. Upon returning home, we recreated some of these to relive our stay!

We had booked the Torre Suite, which was a huge 2-bedroom suite with all we needed in-room. One recommendation to the staff would be to incorporate a full-sized refrigerator, possibly even a stove/oven as there is definitely space in the kitchen. As it is, we had a mini-fridge, where we stored drinks and snacks, but wished we had more room. The bathrooms were luxurious and comfortable, and we slept quite well in the beds. Overall, the room itself was incredibly comfortable and one we could not recommend enough.

You absolutely must have a car to get around the area/region.

Some places we visited:
-Lido Natura at Marina di Pisticci: Make sure you speak with the hotel staff to make a beach club reservation for you. The beach is wonderful and the water is super calm for lounging!
-Olio Quinto Olive Oil Factory: Again, have the hotel staff arrange a visit for you - the olive oil from this place was unlike anything we've ever had before! We bought several bottles to bring home. This is also the olive oil brand the hotel serves at its restaurant.
-Craco: While we didn't tour the ghost town of Craco itself, we drove to the entrance and walked around the area a bit to take in the vibe of the area. It was quite an experience!
-Grottole: we drove out to partake in a pottery class as part of "Wonder Grottole" and I highly recommend it! The town itself is a site to see, being perched upon a mountain!

The Hotel pool is nice and relaxing, and is very much meant for relaxation. We were traveling with our child, who enjoyed the pool but in wanting to get active we could only stay for so long before changing things up and looking elsewhere.

Overall, I would 100% recommend a trip to this region of Italy. We had come from a big city, so this was truly a memorable escape that we will be speaking about for years to come. I would absolutely recommend staying at the Hotel Torre Fiore to all looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway!

Relaxation near the calanchi of Pisticci and Craco The masseria is such a relaxing spot and a great base to explore this area of Basillicata. I'm so pleased we chose to stay here and particularly appreciated the on-site restaurant. We chose the chef's suggestions each day rather than revert to our default choices and all the food made with local ingredients was executed perfectly and was interesting as well as delicious. The pool is fabulous. The staff gave us advice on places to visit. The hotel is very close to Craco ghost town. It is worth booking a tour of Craco on-line as residents of the comune will guide you around the deserted town.

A perfect get away to unwind and be in the middle of a beautiful area of southern Italy. Wife & I enjoyed an amazing 7 days at Torre Fiore. Impeccable resort, jewel in a remote and beautiful part of Basilicata. Restaurant served delicious lunch and dinner and anything else we required. Staff, professional and very helpful with planning our days and made the experience so enjoyable.

Lovely luxury in Basilicata. The property is located on a hill overlooking the Reclamation of Metaponto, rich in strawberry plantations and orchards and then slopes down to the sea.
This is our third stay and again this time the room and treatment were superb.
Note the extreme cleanliness, proper maintenance of the facilities and the excellent cuisine of the restaurant.
Applause to all the staff, always helpful and courteous.
Only small flaw the price but, you know, the quality you pay!

A must stay if you are in the this area of Italy. The entire staff treated us like royalty and made our stay absolutely wonderful. The tips on what to see in the area, assisting with getting reservations for restaurants and then those restaurants treating us very well was great! The inside knowledge of what to do in the area was also fantastic.

If you want to stay at the resort and not leave, then the Villas food is also amazing and of course you can't beat their walk in pool.

Our favourite place to visit in the area was the City of Matera. If you want to visit, take the tour that the Torre Fiore can setup for you.

However, it is important to ensure that if you have been through a tour operator for your Reservation, the property has been paid for prior to arrival. Otherwise, the establishment takes your credit card directly without notifying you (we were victims, and are still waiting for the refund of this debit..)

This Hotel is Perfection! This hotel is perfection. We returned from our second visit, the last being with our two daughters several years ago. We travel throughout Italy often and look for gems like this. It is in a great location close to beaches and beautiful towns like Matera and Bernalda. There are also several towns in neighboring Puglia that are a short scenic trip away.

The hotel is based in a beautifully renovated walled masseria just outside a cute little town. The rooms are great, being super clean and spacious with some very cool architectural elements. The on site restaurant is one of our favourites in all of Italy. The food is fantastic highlighting local ingredients with an impressive regional wine list. We ate here every night of our stay. The entire staff is exceptional being friendly and courteous at every guest touch point.

We spent our days lounging by the pool overlooking the countryside and our afternoons on daytrips (Matera, Monopoli, Bernalda and Taranto).

Visit. Your are going to love it. We think Basilicata is Puglia's cooler less known neighbour!

The villa we stay at is incredibly cozy and was kept spotless for us during our stay. The food, service, the incredible views, the beauty and tranquility of this hotel makes it by far the best Hotel in Pisticci Italy. We will most definitely be back with friends and family. Also, will be introducing a new
pasta dish to our restaurant that we learned to make from scratch during a delicious cooking class we took here. A MUST EXPERIENCE!

An amazing place to call home, while you explore Italy! It is an oasis, with fabulous food and accommodations. You will look forward to coming back after a day of exploring. The grounds are beautiful, and the rooms are just as beautiful. There are also great views of the surrounding area, good WiFi, and a pool. But, the truly finest part of this hotel is the staff. All are extremely helpful, and go out of their way to do those extra things that mean so much. They will also guide you to beaches, attractions, restaurants, wineries, etc. You will want to come back, just for the service. A must if you’re in this part of Italy.

Fabulous! Fabulous boutique hotel in a tranquil setting with stunning rural views. Most of the rooms are off the central courtyard, but it still has the feeling of relaxing and private. Every member of the staffing team was excellent. Service was to a high standard but with a personal touch. The food was delicious and the menu changed daily. The room was very comfortable and we had an amazing time.

We had the pleasure of spending six nights, October 2023, at Hotel Torre Fiore. From the front desk and their eagerness to make your stay a memorable one to the gracious and professionalism displayed by the restaurant wait staff, you will feel it is like you very own Italian, home away from home. Our room, which was once a chapel, was a restful guest-room especially after a day of exploration; crisp white linen, modern bathroom facility, storage and decor. With the morning sunshine permeating through the windows, the buffet breakfast was a large presentation of fresh fruit, cheese, pastries and Italian meats. On day one, my order of Americano coffee was consistently offered each morning without any question. Dinner did not disappoint with a varied selection on the menu. If you're an individual who is an early riser and likes to enjoy early morning walks, there are kilometers of quiet country roads to explore while walking beside farmers fields or the vineyard just down the road. To accompany you, the sound of roosters welcoming the day. There is so much history, beautiful country side and yes, the beach all within a 30 minute drive of the hotel. For the exploring tourist, Hotel Torre Fiore is the perfect base to call home during your Italian adventure.

Remote gem Even though we had previously visited nearby Matera and Bernalda, this location impressed as strikingly isolated. But it’s a tranquil spot with attractive vistas. The Masseria is in great shape, the hospitality was unusually welcoming (and excellent throughout our stay) and our room was spacious and nicely designed. We found plenty of interesting places to visit nearby and the staff was helpful with advice and reservations. The restaurant was very good, with simple food prepared extremely well. We were most impressed that their menu changed completely between night one and night two, which they explained they did so hotel guests would always see something new. Quite a place at reasonable rates.

A little piece of paradise, I did not want to leave. Staff are very professional, helpful and kind. Food is great. Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Staff are helpful, kind and a delight to deal with. Food was delicious, even the food we prepared in our cooking class with chef. Room was spacious, and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed patio and pool, I did not want to leave.

Intimate Relaxing Gem! Fantastico! This boutique gem is nestled in the countryside near Pisticci. A beautiful and thoughtful/respectful renovation of old farming community buildings into a gorgeous intimate hotel. Very private and very relaxing. Pool and dining were amazing and so are all the staff. A great base from which to explore Matera, Alberobello, Monopoli and the entire Puglia & Basilicata Regions.

Heaven on earth - prepare to be pampered We spent a week at Torre Fiore and were sad to leave. Our junior suite was so comfortable and spacious with bathrobes and slippers supplied. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was marvelous. The menu changed every day in the restaurant, so we did not get bored with the offerings. We ate most meals at the hotel and all were spectacular. The site and the pool were so relaxing - a great way to relieve stress. However, the best part of Torre Fiore was the staff. From the moment we arrived the reception staff were attentive to our every need. We just needed to ask a question, and whatever we wanted appeared! They arranged chairs and umbrellas at the beach and checked to see that the restaurant was open for us. They also arranged a tour to Matera which they suggested we change once they met us and saw our fitness levels. In the end, they arranged a golf cart tour and reservations at a wonderful restaurant in Matera. The chef gave us a cooking class which we ate on the patio in candlelight. Magical setting with great food. A very enjoyable class - thank you Torre Fiore. The restaurant staff were knowledgeable about the food and preparation methods and happy to suggest choices for us. Everyone seemed happy at their jobs and were very friendly. Note that although you can get to the hotel by transfers with public transit, the site is quite isolated and transfers are expensive. We ended up renting a car just for the week we were here. The trains/bus combination needed to get here from Pompeii or Naples were tight and we would have missed our connection. I highly recommend spending time at this glorious restful hotel and pamper yourself.

Say cheese please in Basilicata! A little bit of heaven in Southern Italy! Beautiful setting overlooking the lovely countryside, orchards and a view of the Mediterranean. Rooms are beautifully appointed, spacious and artfully decorated. Wonderful breakfast buffet with the BEST croissants I've ever had! Try them with the mini ricotta cheese and jam - delicious! The staff are outstanding, so friendly and accommodating to every need. Stuff to see and do locally (Matera & Pisticci are must sees), or just lounge by the beautiful pool! Top spot! Pi

Service, room and food all amazing. The service was amazing, the grounds were amazing the rooms were big, clean and amazing, the views around the property was breathtaking and the food from the restaurant was traditional and Michelin star which was so tasty and amazing, this place is just truly amazing and I have stayed at some of the best hotels in the world.

The name in itself explains this Masseria, this home away from home in all its understated, unpretentious beauty.

Its character; her character, its quirk; her quirk, its love and her love for this very instagrammable hotel. Its immense, intense, powerful and random views from every angle, the wonderful people (all of you 😍) and the incredibly fresh food at its most natural and elevated form. It's a place to relax, to explore, to sleep, to stay, to leave, to explore, elsewhere. To meet and greet and chat, or not; to watch and listen and enjoy the multicultural, variation of guests around you. To lock yourself away from it all and be with who ever you're with. You can read, play, swim, laugh, cry, eat, drink, walk, jump, dive (didn't dive, pool and view too pretty for me to ruin), the adventure is what you make it.

This wonderful boutique hotel is unique. The rooms are so beautifully designed and decorated - each room or suite more interesting than the last. The food is wonderful - flavourful and plentiful. Management and staff go out of their way to make you feel - and stay - welcome. This is a grand experience in a very interesting part of Italy, as your hosts will be more than happy to take the time to prove to you. No animals are permitted which suited us perfectly. Look at the photos on their site and learn that you will love your stay here. Mariana, your hostess, and her professional and helpful staff, will welcome you as if into a private home. We enjoyed our visit immensely.

Htf is a sort of hidden luxury. We live in our holiday home near by, but we have to visit the hotel every time we come. Mariana, the hotel manager and the daughter of the owner, is the most kind and lovely person. The rooms are designed with high quality furniture and elegancy.
The food is a realy sucsessful mix of traditional ingridents and modern cooking. All the people working at HTF are doing all they can to make the guests feel well.

The site is only apparently isolated but is very close to the sea and 7 minutes drive to the town of Pisticci.
Is an old typical courtyard full renovated and with a convincing service providing to the guests all comforts.
Food is also precious, few courses to choose but very well done.
For some is a benefit, mobile signal is close to zero and data passes through a weak WiFi signal.
You can book short stay.

We had a magnificent stay at Torre Fiore. First of, Basilicata is a very underestimated and unexplored region, with nice beaches, beautiful landscapes, old villages and towns worth exploring, fantastic food and wine.

Torre Fiore is a delight, especially because of the staff. Run by a dedicated and sweet manager, with a great heart, also for our kids of 4 and 6. Furthermore, the reception and restaurant staff do everything to fulfill your needs. Super nice and warm people. Next, the rooms that we stayed in (we came back during our 3 week trip) are nicely decorated, with airco and quiet.

The restaurant with a terrace towards the beautiful landscape offers local and fresh food, with a menu that changes during your stay. Also, the wines of this region are amazing. We especially liked the rosata (rose) wine.

The swimming pool has a shallow and deeper part and is a very nice refreshment after a day at the beach (just 15 minutes away).

We will come back for sure to this amazing place!

Torre Fiore is a beautiful boutique hotel surrounded by some of the most spectacular landscapes. From the moment we arrived through the magnificent gates, we were treated like royalty. Giovanna, the hotel manager, welcomed us with ideas of what we might like to do during our stay. The rooms are luxuriously comfortable and immaculate, although we hardly spent much time in them, but to sleep. Whether we lazed at the pool or took day trips hiking, zip-lining, viewing museums or discovering the rich history of nearby cities like Craco and Matera, our days were filled with both adventure and relaxation. Giovanna was kind enough to arrange a massage for us as well as a cooking class with Torre Fiore's brilliant chef, Debora. I cannot say enough about chef Debora and the food she creates with the fresh local produce, meats and fish typical of Italy. The menu changed twice during our stay and we were never disappointed. We would definitely go back!
